Which One do You Choose?

In life, there are two ways an organism adapts. First, we have physical adaptation. It is when something has a certain appearance that helps it live. Each one is different from the others. Sometimes an organism might have the same adaptation like some animals all have wings. A behavior adaptation is a certain type of way an organism reacts to something. A behavior adaptations are not common through animals, but mostly common in plants, and fungi. The two types of adaptations are both important for a healthy growth for a living thing. Almost every living organisms has one adaptation. Even we do! Without it, nothing can survive in this world.
A physical adaptation could be in many ways. The most common ones are tails, and wings. Many animals like birds, and insects use wings as an advantage because out there, there are many hungry frogs who want to eat insects, and cats who want to catch and eat birds. But since they can fly, they can escape easily. Speaking of frogs, their advantage is having a long tongue, since insects are not very intelligent, when they fly near a frog it uses its sticky tongue to catch the insect. Cats, leopards, lions, and cheetahs all use one advantage: their tails. Tails help them balance when their running or jumping. Another one is teeth, a lion has big canines that help them to grasp prey easily, with a strong bite, it strangles its prey and does not let it breathe. Have you ever wondered why rabbits’ ears are so long? The reason is because it helps them hear sounds, without these ears, they could get caught easily!
A behavior adaptation could be in many ways. First, we have migration. Hibernation is really common among many mammals, like bears, squirrels, and also found in one reptile: the snake. When an animal migrates, its body temperature gets lower and its heart beats slower, this makes them have a lot of energy in the spring. Migration is common in birds, and some types of butterflies. They're flying to a warmer place. It mostly occurs in the autumn, when many flocks of birds fly south, they travel a long distance, and when they find their destination, they settle there. Communication is another long, highly leveled word for speaking. Many animals have learned how to communicate with each-other. Birds chirp, and cats meow. We also learn communication! Some animals copy others’ skills like baby ducks learn from their mother its that simple. The most simple one is one we all have being hungry. It helps us understand what time our bodies need food so that we can grow, and get stronger, without it we would just starve to death.
If I could choose, I would choose physical adaptation. I would want to have wings that could fly like birds. With this adaptation, I could travel long distances in no time, and it will also be cool showing-off my beautifully made wings to all my friends. It will also be pretty fun chasing birds, and doing stunts. With wings my mother wouldn’t have to waste another 1000 dollar plane ticket to China! She would sit in the plane, while I could fly beside it. Birds could travel long distances, so I’m pretty sure I could also make it without crashing into another plane or something. The disadvantages are that since I am 50 sizes bigger then a bird, than how big will by wings be? I could not fit them through a car, and we would need to waste money for wider doors so my wings could fit in. I don’t even think I will make a single night without injuring my wings trying to find the comfortable spot in my bed.
Animals need adaptation so they can survive in the wild without any help. Without these adaptations, birds would be easily catched by cats, cats could easily injure themselves without any balance from their tails, we would not been so smart, and will have no idea how to express ourselves, animals would die in the winter without knowing how to make a simple nest or burrow, trees would not have enough sunlight, and it would be a disaster. I think that we could help the animals without any good adaptation by making one out of a material, like simple machines like wheelchairs. Flightless birds could have robotic wing installed, injured animals could have robotic legs and limbs just like us. It is very simple to help something, but also very simple to break a connection.
