The story There Is Nothing Like Baseball by Angela Johnson talks about the story of a baseball girl named Emma. She liked baseball and also played it. Her family and her good friend Jamal played baseball too. Emma and Jamal played on the same baseball team. Emma was first base and Jamal was second base. Everyone was happy in the baseball game and she thought there was nothing like baseball.
It is good to have my friend on the same team as me. We have fun together, and have more memories together and we can have better cooperation. In the story, Emma and her best friend Jamal tossed the ball to each other, they chased the ball together and they made the tryout together. During the game, they had better teamwork, and improved their skills. Therefore, being on the same team as our good friends is great.
Everybody has a belief in sports. We have to do our best and everyone gets to play. In the story, everyone played and had fun. Emma played second base, Jamal played first base and Nikki played shortstop. Team sports give each person a role, and we all have our small job to work together to complete a big job. All people have the opportunity to play and enjoy sports.
Friendship is more important than baseball. Baseball is a team sport and we play baseball with friends, if we don’t have them, we cannot play. In the story, Emma had a dream that her friend wasn’t happy because of baseball, so she didn’t feel good about baseball any more. She liked her friend, even more than baseball. Clearly, our hobbies are important, but friends are even more important.
The story of There Is Nothing Like Baseball talks about Emma’s passion for baseball and the friends between Emma and Jamal. In the story, everyone has a belief in sports. We can see that it is good to have our friends on the same team as us and friendship is more important than baseball.
